District Welcomes New Student Representative to the BOE

The Highland Central School District is proud to welcome our new student representative to the Board of Education, Logan Carle.

Logan, who was officially sworn in on September 16, recently took part in a welcoming conference at Ulster BOCES in New Paltz alongside student board members from across the region. The event—created in response to the new statewide mandate requiring every school board to include a student representative—gave students the chance to connect with board presidents and district clerks, and to hear from state leaders including Senator Shelley Mayer, Assembly Member Carrie Woerner, Board of Regents Chancellor Lester Young Jr., and New York State Education Department Commissioner Betty Rosa.

Logan also had the opportunity to share ideas and priorities with fellow student representatives, discussing how student voices can help shape the future of education.

We are excited to see how Logan’s leadership and perspective will help make a difference for all Highland students!
