Thanks to the Highland Rotary Club's annual Book Project, Grade 3 students at Highland Elementary School will soon be diving into "Stella Díaz Has Something to Say" by Angela Dominguez.
We are asking parents for just a few minutes of their time to complete our annual Family Survey. The input collected by this survey will help us find ways to work together to continue to improve the Highland Central School District.
Kindergarten registration for the 2025-2026 school year is open as of January 3. Parents and guardians of incoming Kindergarten students can stop by Highland High School (which is located at 320 Pancake Hollow Road) weekdays between 8 AM and 3 PM, through May 1, 2025, to pick up a registration packet
Our Highland Elementary School students had a busy day on December 20, filled with a jolly sing-along, creative crafts, sweet treats, and cozy holiday movies. To top it all off, there were special visits from Santa Claus and The Grinch—who may have started out grouchy but couldn’t resist joining in the festive fun!
Highland Elementary School has welcomed its new assistant principal just in time for the start of the new year. Dr. Malissa Chester, who comes to Highland from the Newburgh Enlarged City School District, officially assumed her role on December 13.
